Partner put in a single algae tablet to try and draw out his gibby's and suddenly the football scrum erupted. Over 10 algae tablets later and they played tag with them each trying to take ownership of the tablet so they could eat it. One of the larger ones ended up shoveling the entire tablet in his mouth and scooting off to the back of the tank so he could stuff his face without the others knowing.
Now the slight issue..adding up all the tank collection we come to a grand total of...
52 fish in the tank (TG they are only smallish some are only 5cm up to a max of 8cm). Sigh and we still don't have the Maingano's either. This does however bring up the future problem of how big a tank am I going to need when all these guys are full size?
I spotted a 5 foot tank today at the LFS for an excellent price and I think we should get it now- partner thinks that it is asking for trouble and I will just fill it up before it gets used for its intended use. He also thinks that having to add a big filter to it and 2 heaters is going to stack up the price.
I say a bargain is a bargain and we shouldn't rely on getting a bargain when we desperately need it. I also think I have enough fish now and as they grow we can move them out to the bigger tank and have 2 awesome displays instead of 1.
