Movement At The Station

Not even a week and so many changes...
Smallest Golden Gourami turns its fins up- we think he gave up the will to live as he was healthy as far as we could tell.
Then a dreaded outbreak of White Spot had us turning up the tanks to 30C and adding some salt to the mix. So far the Clown Loaches which showed first signs of the outbreak have taken well to the treatment and instead of sitting at the bottom of the tank looking miserable they are playing with the Pictus and having swimming contests with them while the two remaining Golden Gourami look on disdainfully and play touchy feely with each other. The small tank has finished its cycle and is now full of happy bristlenose growing at about a tail length a month. The Pakistani Loaches look....Oh darn...one has White Spot... fortunately the temp is already up and the salt just needs a top up.
We keep visiting the recommended LFS (thanks Staniford) eying off the Malawi Cichlids like gamblers eying off the horses at Flemington and wishing our big tank was ready.
The partner is of the opinion that our next tank is less than a year away...probably true...;) Just think "Red Forest Jewel Cichlids" Hemachromis Lifalili for that one ever since I saw a pair in another LFS.
